Pocatello Baby!

This past weekend we drove down to Pocatello, Id to the Lava Hot Springs to celebrate Eric and Nicole Fleckner's birthdays.
Kira came down so we decided to make a weekend trip out of it.

For those who haven't been, let me just say they are simply, AMAZING.
There are many natural Hot springs all over the world, but this little town has turned this amazing natural world wonder into an attraction for all ages.

Above is a picture of one of the four pools, each one increasing in temperature.
We prefer the coolest one.
We only stayed for a few hours and watched about 4 inches of snow fall in just that short amount of time.
It was an unreal experience to be so warm, while snowflakes an inch wide melted on our skin.

After our relaxing night, we spent the night at the good ol' Best Western.

And with Eric's savvy skills, we scored an extra room...for free!

The next morning we headed back up towards Rexburg...

to the Idaho Falls Temple Visitors Center

It was so nice to see Kira all weekend, and we enjoyed celebrating eric and nicole birthdays! We love you guys!

Valentines day... Our day of giving, baking, and loving :)

Our first Valentines day was more than perfect...

I was beyond excited to give Andrew his gift, so excited that he actually opened it Sunday night at about 12:45 am...so technically it was valentines day.

Pretty sweet huh?
But I love my gift more...

There isn't a day that goes by that they aren't on my freezing cold feet.

And if that wasn't enough...
I came home from work to these gorgeous long stem red roses and chocolate.
And I made Andrew red velvet cupcakes for dessert.

For dinner we made delicious BBQ baby back ribs with potatoes and corn.
The ribs were absolutely amazing... if I do say so myself.

After our mouth-watering dinner, we ended the night with The Bachelor.
...Emily is our Fav :)
Andrew is just as into it as I am.
I love it.

It was the most perfect day, in every way.
I have the most amazing husband,
And for that I am forever thankful.
I love you babe :)

One lucky girl...

one day a boy met a girl,
the day they met, they were in a whole other world.
he made her laugh and kissed her tenderly-
so good & so wonderfully.
then one day, these two tied the knot,
their life began and they loved each other a lot.
today is Valentine's day - a day dedicated to Love,
so a shout out to my main man
the one who was made for me by the Man above

I'm just one lucky girl.

What I would give...

to be here...

or there....

to be crazy with these girls...

or to be lazy with this boy...

with this family...

or that family...

but I have this one...

and because of him, Rexburg is worth it.
And I'm happy, very happy.

Our newest addition...

Sorry to get your hopes up, but when i say "addition" sadly I don't mean a puppy or a baby... even though I want both... DESPERATELY. But patience is a virtue, right?

Well... we got a little something to turn our painfully bare apartment into what could hopefully, maybe, sorta look like a home... well, at least cross your fingers we'll someday get to that point.

There it is!
Our new rug!
I have never felt so much like a wife until now, think about it... the sole reason for this post is about a rug, thats it, A RUG! Well, I am a wife and I am one happy wife at that. Sorry for just the picture of the rug, i'm working on the living room right now and once we have more to show for it,  i'll put pictures up. But for right now we are just happy Hyders that get to come home everyday to this adorable rug that makes our little place look a bit more home-y.

Thank goodness.

burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Sorry for the quality... I might have been driving at the same time ;)

Appreciate what you have before you don't have it anymore.
I never knew how lucky I was to grow up with 70 degree so-called "winters".
As well as all those times I complained about the weather in utah, I still didn't realize the weather could be worse.
But oh boy do I realize now.
